Taking a Thread for a Conversation (2020)

Each year City & Islington College takes part in the Tate Exchange Educational Program at Tate Modern. My project was a large scale interactive woven installation. My proposal was about the power of self and the power of the collective. As a part of this I researched the philosophy of self and society, with an emphasis on the Greeks, and their concept of ‘idiot’ - a person who did not actively participate in society. I was inspired by the works of Sheila Hicks, and Pierre le Riche.
